View from Theo's apartment
The painting shows the view from the apartment that Vincent and Theo van Gogh shared in Rue Lepic, Paris. Between blocks of flats, they could see part of Montmartre cemetery, with in the distance the hills of Meudon and the Palais du Trocadéro on the horizon. Today, this view is blocked by new buildings.
